Grab On Foam Grips
In 1973 Grab On was the first company to make foam grips. To do this we developed a new process for rapid grinding of extruded foam rubber. The first grips we made were for ten-speed bicycles. Next came motorcycle grips and eventually industrial grips for the OEM market. Today we make thousands of custom grips and pads out of high density foam that lasts. Here at Grab On, the knowledge and experience we have help to give you the best grips at competitive pricing.

Advantages of Foam Grips
- No tooling costs
Designing a new hand grip with foam in mind saves the high cost of injection molds. Our large assortment of stock tooling means that in most cases there is no tooling charge. Tooling to make milled foam grips is much less expensive than complicated injection molds.
- Foam handle grips eliminate blisters
The most common cause of blisters is repeated friction against a hard object. Replacing a hard grip with a cushion grip helps eliminate blisters.
- Foam provides a better grip
Because foam compresses into all the irregular shapes of the hand this increases the total surface area available for gripping. Also, since your hand compresses the foam it actually creates a mechanical advantage for gripping much like starting blocks do for the runner.
- Foam grips increase comfort
Another great reason for foam handle grips is comfort. When faced with a choice of what product a person will buy, comfort is always high on the list.
- Foam hand grips are Ergonomic
Foam grips conform to your hand to create a more ergonomic fit. Grips that don’t conform put unnecessary strain on the human hand.
- Foam absorbs vibration
Foam grips decrease the amount of high frequency vibration and shock transmitted to the hands.
- Foam insulates
Whether hot or cold, foam tubes insulate. One of our customers uses our grips on his wood burning tools to insulate from the heat. Foam tubing can be used on heating and air conditioning lines to insulate and keep operators from excess heat.
- Foam handle grips are durable
Foam grips can be designed to last for years. If durability is what you want, we can manufacture your grip from foam tubing that work great even when used in extreme heat and ultra violet radiation.
Helping to keep your hands the way our Creator designed them.
